Dear Friends,
Deva & Miten are in Byron Bay, Australia right now, and busy working on a new album and a new DVD with highlights from their 2008 tour - a tour that saw them performing on 5 continents and in 22 countries!

World Tour 2009 begins with an Ecstatic Chant retreat in Lake Ainsworth, Byron Bay, Feb 20-23, followed by appearances with Eckhart Tolle, best selling author of The Power of Now and A New Earth, opening his events in Sydney (March 7) and Brisbane (March 12).

Dates for their tour of Europe are set now, and booking for their holiday groups in Corfu has just opened. See the Events schedule for full details and visit their Photo Blog for the latest pictures and news.

Holiday Groups In Corfu, Greece
CorfuDeva, Miten and Rafia will again be offering two very special holiday groups by the ocean at the beautiful Alexis Zorbas Center in Corfu, Greece.

The Way Of The White CloudsJuly 23-31 – is a nine day in-depth celebration of Osho and his work. Daily satsang, group sessions, and Osho's meditation techniques provide a deep, and joyful path for inner exploration.

Tantra-Mantra For CouplesAugust 9-15 – offers an opportunity for couples to renew their connection in a loving, sacred & supportive atmosphere. The physical beauty and relaxation that is so available in Corfu combines with the singing and chanting to create the perfect environment for tantric practice and meditation.

See the Holidays pages for more information. These groups fill quickly, so early booking is recommended.

Message from Miten
Hi friends – lots of news coming up! First, thank you so much for your prayers and kind messages for my healing. The eye ops were successful, which means I can SEE again! No pain. no discomfort, no red-eye...just clear, clear 20/20 vision. The only problem I have now is looking in the mirror.

dpm, eckhardt tolleA note for our Australian friends: we were sorry to pass up the tour this year, but it was necessary, due to health and sanity! Still, there are a few places left at Lake Ainsworth, and we have accepted an invitation from Eckhart Tolle to accompany him on his talks, in Sydney and Brisbane - so we hope to see you, and sing with you, there.

As some of you might know, 2008 was a busy year for Deva, Manose and I. Mega travelling, but way easier than you’d ever expect. Deva and I hit the ground running: arriving in Australia and immediately going into the studio to work on tracks for the live album. We’re also editing some nice concert footage for a DVD. We’re working with Kamal Engels - he has some great meditation/reiki music available at itunes (type in ‘kamal’).

Manose is in San Francisco, working on his new album (to tell you the truth, we are honestly missing each other!). Hopefully he’ll have it ready in time for this year's tour. Deva will be featured on it, which is a pretty amazing combination! I think it will be something very special.

Other friends have also been busy in the studio. Here are a few recommendations:

  • Jai UttalThunder Love (classic Jai).
  • Sambodhi Prem and KalyanCello Circles (eloquent relaxing instrumental).
  • MC Yogi (a great track from our young yogi rap wallah - building community through service - check it out)
  • CariocaGrateful (unique, unexplainable, Brasilian, inspirational songs by a unique and unexplainable musician – including a great version of Ide Were Were).

And finally, people sometimes ask us why we invite audiences not to clap during our concerts. Osho throws some light on the subject:
osho“...Music comes closest to meditation. Music is a way towards meditation and the most beautiful way. Meditation is the art of hearing the soundless sound, the art of hearing the music of silence - what Zen people call ‘the sound of one hand clapping’. And when you are utterly silent, not a single thought passes your mind, there is not even a ripple of any feeling in your heart, then you start for the first time hearing silence. And silence has a music of its own. It is not dead, it is very much alive, it is tremendously alive. In fact, nothing is more alive than silence...” Osho: The Book of Books, Vol. XII

With love, Miten

For The New Year

No matter what is going on
Never give up
Develop the heart
Too much energy in your country
Is spent developing the mind
Instead of the heart
Be compassionate
Not just to your friends
But to everyone
Be compassionate
Work for peace In your heart and in the world
Work for peace
And I say again
Never give up
No matter what is going on around you
Never give up.
