| Just now, Deva and Miten are on the beautiful island of Corfu with their summer holiday groups, In The Light of Love with Manose, and Tantra Mantra For Couples with tantra master, Rafia. September will find them back in the USA and Canada for concerts in Miami, Vancouver and Toronto, and headlining at festivals in the ever growing world of kirtan: the Omega Ecstatic Chant Retreat in Rhinebeck, NY, and the Bhakti Fest - a four day extravaganza of kirtan, chant and yoga in Joshua Tree, California. The second leg of their European Tour kicks off in Russia, with concerts in St. Petersburg & Moscow. See Events for full details of their tour schedule. | BENEFIT CD: TIBETAN MANTRAS FOR TURBULENT TIMES | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
 Deva Premal & the Gyuto Monks of Tibet have created a powerful, deeply moving meditation album, containing eight Tibetan mantras chanted in the traditional way of 108 times each. As Deva notes, Tibetan Mantras for Turbulent Times "originally arose out of a desire of mine to chant mantras together with Gyuto monks – those precious souls who have devoted their whole lives to the practice. Their incredible voices and the intense vibration they create, infused with such a deep immersion into the holy sound, has always inspired and intrigued me."Deva and the Gyuto Monks are joined by Grammy Award Winner David Darling on cello, Kit Walker, producer of Love is Space and Embrace, on keyboards, and Manose on bansuri, enhancing the deep silence that the mantras carry, while creating an incredibly beautiful and potent musical landscape. Tibetan Mantras for Turbulent Times is currently only available in a pre-release version at concerts, and at our Webshop. It will go on general release in late 2010. Please note: All proceeds from the CD are directed to the Gyuto Monastery in Dharamsala, India; the Phowa Project; and Veggiyana. |

| IN THE LIGHT OF LOVE | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
 In The Light of Love features concert favorites recorded live during Deva and Miten’s 2009 European Tour with Manose. It includes Hu Allah Hu, the Sufi chant which DP&M learned from the musicians at the Lev Tahor Festival in Israel; the new classic, In The Light of Love/Om Shree Dhanvantre; Miten’s revamp of Sing Your Own Song, and a haunting version of Teyata, featuring Ravi on overtone and throat singing. Also included are three studio tracks: a beautiful new version of Deva’s Om Asatoma, produced by Ben Leinbach, co-creator of the Moola Mantra CD; Beautiful Surprise – a hidden Miten jewel from the Soul In Wonder sessions; and a rocking version of the concert hit, Four Angels. The music travels seamlessly through the gentle introspection of Beautiful Surprise to the joyful high energy dance of Hu Allah Hu and the warm embrace of Sing Your Own Song. It is a voyage of love and discovery - as Miten sings, "...We have the wings to fly ... What a beautiful surprise...!" In The Light of Love is only available at concerts, and at our Webshop. |

| MESSAGE FROM DEVA | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Dear friends, The natural challenges that our beloved Mother Earth is facing are almost beyond imagination. It seems to me that one event happens only to be overshadowed by an even more dramatic one. The Gulf oil situation is almost impossible to grasp with the mind, isn’t it? - often I find myself feeling helpless and numb, not knowing how to contribute to the solution of healing the ocean and her ‘people’. My saving grace is, that when I feel this way, I remind myself that the earth isn’t helped by my feeling desperate, worried and fearful. The earth – as the wise and sensitive being that she is – benefits way more from us being joyful, grateful and peaceful. I trust that out of this arises an abundance of energy that leads to right action - whatever that looks like for each one of us individually. For me, since meeting Osho, it has been a path of meditation and celebration, of loving community, and of the sacred Sanskrit mantras. This gives me strength to continue, it makes me happy - and sharing this, as Osho said - will make others happy too. I want to share a mantra with you that celebrates the Earth as a living entity, on its own path of transformation, and helps balance the effects that our presence has on her: OM DHARAYEI NAMAHA Please join me! I have recorded a small sample of the mantra here which will help you with the pronunciation. And then of course there is always the Gayatri Mantra. The Gayatri is a purifying prayer to the sun, and asks for the enlightenment of all beings on Mother Earth. For me, the Gayatri is always the right one - for every situation! Our thoughts are a powerful force. Do not underestimate them! And let’s not underestimate the contribution that each of us can make – right here, right now. And in that, we are always connected.
